Hello I’m Julian, an aviation industry professional who lived and worked in Delhi, India from January 2022 until May 2024.
I’ve been fortunate to travel a lot in my career, and always had a passion for being on the road, seeing different cultures and savouring the experiences you get from exploring this diverse world.
My goal with this journal was simply to share some of the experiences I encountered while living in India. It wasn’t intended to be a ‘yesterday I did this’ format, instead the aim was to provide a little bit of insight into the nuances of a life in India for an ‘expat’ like me – hopefully of interest to some, and possibly of value to others considering doing likewise.
I’m originally from the UK, with home being in the beautiful town of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. I like to think of myself as an active runner, traveller, and aspiring writer. Admittedly I was less of a runner while in Delhi, but when home I have been known to dabble in the occasional endurance running event, with a few 24 hour experiences in the bag. But that’s a whole other story….
